This module will explore the importance of the supervisory working alliance for successful outcomes in supervision as well as various strategies to establish and develop the relationship between trainee and supervisor. The presentation will address the benefits and potential problems associated with dual roles & boundary crossings, which are often times unavoidable during the supervision process. It will also explore some of the laws and ethics code related to boundary crossings in general and supervision in particular.
